| This hotel is very convenient to the Waterfront Precinct in Halifax and a short if somewhat uphill walk in the centre of the downtown area. If you have a car there is a secure parking area of if coming to the city by bus from the airport the terminal is very handy as is the VIA Rail station. The hotel itself has an excellent restaurant and there are many others nearby offering a wide variety of cuisine. The staff were most helpful and friendly and the domestic staff very attentive and efficient with their work. All of this ensured a most pleasant stay. |

| The general condition of the hotel is reasonably preserved. It's location close to the harbor is scenic, and proximity to facilities like the ViaRail; Acadian Bus Terminal, and very good restaurants in the vicinity, among others, makes it a good choice for visitors to Halifax.
i recommend Westin to visitors who are open to exploring the restaurants in the vicinity and not wholy dependent on the food provided in the hotel. |

| I was a little disappointed with the hotel. There was evidence of bedbugs in the bed linens and was disappointed at how we were nickel and dimed for everything e.g. pay for extra coffee in room, pay for wi-fi (most hotels is free), expensive restaurant food, pay too much for parking in Halifax (it's not Toronto!!). |

| My wife and I had a great stay at the Westin Nova Scotian. The room was standard and expected but very clen, comfortable and well maintained. Staff was very friendly giving us nice tips about the city. Location is prime, steps away from Farmers Market and beginning of the harbourfront promenade.
Disappointed for not having complimentary wi-fi in the room and for having to pay full price for breakfast at the restaurant as anybody else. A hotel guest should have some discount at least. |

| I had a meeting at Pier 21 following my arrival by train from Montreal. The hotel was perfectly situated for what I needed - access to the hotel and a few hundred yards from Pier 21. I am handicapped and walk with a cane. I stayed in Room 902. The walls were paper thin. Our next door neighbour in Rm 900 had a small party and we could hear everything that was being said - no secrets there. The bathroom tub was as slick as ice - no shower mat, I virtually almost broke my neck. Only one wall metal bar to assist while gettin in and out of the shower. Found it very dangerous. Breakfast - extremely expensive - over $15.00 for what I normally pay for breakfast near my home in downtown Montreal - $5.25. I had wanted to have the buffet breakfast $17.50, but was told by the waiter that since there were only 45 guests registeed at the hotel that day, they had cancelled the buffet, The breakfast was only adequate after a twenty-minute wait. I would stay there again, but unfortunately it is far away from any tourist attractions - a twenty-five minute walk. |

| The hotel was very clean, coutious staff. One draw back is that you do have to pay for parking. It is located within walking distance of the Halifax waterfront area and citadel. |

| As usual, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful...the bed was incredibly comfortable...love all the extra pillows! Best customer service I have ever received....great place... |

| This is an old hotel with much character but is very modern inside. The location is great - very near to Pier 21. Also a close walk to Atlantic Superstore and to many pubs and restaurants.
We'd stay here again. |
