Recent Marriott Halifax Harbourfront Review: "We chose this hotel because it had a Hertz rental office in it and we discovered it was considerably less expensive to rent a car in downtown Halifax than at the Halifax airport. (The car could be returned to the Halifax airport with no drop-off fee.) The hotel is well located for those interested in walking around the wharf area of Halifax. We were pleasantly welcomed and our room was roomy and comfortable. We had explored Halifax a bit on foot and we returned to the hotel in the evening, there had been a blackout. Some emergency lights were on. The staff helpfully handed out glow sticks for guests to use until the power came back on."
